Default I have a 2000 Silverado 5.3 liter, which model MagnaCharger...

Whats up guys? I have a 2000 Silverado 5.3 Liter Ext cab Z71 truck and am planning on throwing a Magnacharger on it in the middle of this year. What model should I be on the lookout for and also are the used ones that come out of the classifieds on forums pretty reliable? How much is a rebuild if i need to go that route? I already have a rebuilt transmission and just put a new 5.3 liter in the truck about a year ago (35k miles on the new motor-got some water in the old motor ). I don't race the truck or anything like that, just want some more guts. Also, as far as tuning a 4wd, do they just take out the shaft to drive the front wheels when they dyno? Thanks in advance guys!

Magnacharger TVS1900 works for me. Throw on a 3"-ish pulley and it'll do what you want it to, reliably

Make sure you get the inline pump and the TB adaptor plate. The heat exchanger is not a perfect fit with the tranny cooler in there so you'll need to fab up a simple bracket and maybe cut some of the inside of your grille away. Otherwise, it's a piece of cake. The instructions are online.

They can tune it if you're in 2hi just like any other 2wd.

If price is not a concern, I agree with swift700. Maggie TVS1900 all the way. If you're hunting for a great bang for the buck system, the MP122 I have in the for sale department would be tough to beat. You'll wear the rest of the truck out before you wear out a Maggie.

TVS 1900 is the way to go. Reliable, driveable, quiet while not in boost, and will make the power you want and then some.

Hands-down the TVS1900 is a stellar choice for the 5.3L.

I've got a brand-new Roush TVS1900 complete kit for the GMT fullsize trucks available for-sale. There's ~2 inexpensive things additional you'd need (if I remember the threads correctly- do a search) for it to fit on an '00-'06 GMT (kit is made for the 07+, but many have installed it easily on an '00-06), but one of those two items is the fuel-rail which I have and would include with the sale. PM me for my sell-price since this is not a "for-sale" thread, but it is a steal compared to a new Maggie kit.
