How much should i worry about my boost spikes?
#1
I'm wanting to turn the boost up on my truck. Currently I'm on 93 octane only. Going to be ordering a manual boost controller. Right now I'm running on the 4psi waste gate spring. I'm getting boost spikes when it shifts gears. A spike to 6psi in 1-2, and a spike of 8psi going 2-3. Should I worry about this causing detonation? Anyone think they will clear up? How do I go about all this turbo nonsense?

This sounds like a big mathematical formula is coming. Where are the broad blanket statements?
You should be able to calculate mass flow rate from the compressor using the compressor map, correct? What are the tolerences? Shed a little light here. I'm all ears.

Got her turned up a bit. She floats around 6.5psi to 7.5psi. Feels like a whole new truck. Although, the spikes persist. Just trying to get a safe tune on my truck if you don't care to take a look. Here a screen shot, and I'll also post a log and config. Still running pig rich.
