Default How Much Power?

What kind of power is this combo capable of? Just wondering truck feels really strong. At 13 PSI the AFR is still rich. Gauge only goes down to 10, then just says RCH. I may get away with 15LBS as rich as it is. Im @7000' elevation, and see no kr @ 13psi. My timing is at 15deg. Im going to try to get it to the Dyno next week, but if not it will be after newyears.

-junkyard 6.0l, with 40k
-Isky 212/212, .527/.527, 114ls
-Isky matching valvesprings(forgot the #)
-Trick front mount with T66, .81AR
-Nelson air to air intercooler
-68LB injectors
-Intank 255(2003 truck)
-Mild build 4L80E, with pro yank 3400.
-Truck is a 2003 RC, 4x4

I don't know Mark....You have a 5.3 at 10 lbs of boost and a z06 cam right? And you hit 486.

I would say a 6.0 with 13 lbs of boost and a bigger turbo will go mid 500's. But you could be right about the timing keeping the power down.

Thanks! I think alot of the reason it's running so strong is the 50 deg IAT temps. The high to day was 28 deg. I know the timing is too low and the rich AFR is hurting me, but It's safe. Im going to leave the timing and AFR alone, and try 15 LBS. You can get away with 3-4 psi more boost up hear @ this elevation than @ sea level. Draw back is that you need an additional 3-4 to get your sealevel HP back. The cool IAT helps also. How much boost, and timing are you running down there? Thanks, J

Feels alitle faster than my 70 does up hear. The 70 runs 12.30's up hear. 4wd traction is a problem. 2wd is usless, It needs better tires, and a true posi. You will soon see what a pice of **** the stock G80 is.

I don't see the 6.0 making that much more hp than the 5.3, I do think it would make alot more torque though, and thats what you really want with heavy trucks.

Ya, there are stock 5.3's that make over 300HP. The main reason I went with the 6.0 was because I had it sitting there, and it was easier to put a cam & springs in out of the truck. Also had only 40K. Wasn't that much more to swap the engine while I had the trans out. I think the 4L80E is probly robbing every bit of extra power the 6.0 has over the 5.3. A 80E takes like 30 more HP to turn.
