More like 15% I think as measured by an AWD dyno. It is very noticeable thats for sure.

Mine went 6.60's around 102 mph in full street trim at 4550 lbs.

Never had it dyno'd turned up that high but if I had to guess it would have been somewhere in the neighborhood of 700-800 rwhp. Probably on the lower side.

I was told 18 to 22% depending on what parts in the trans. Kinda depressing to know I will loose that much to heat production and to spin the added weight of the four wheel drive axle.

Waaaay back when mine was bone stock we dynoed it before blower install and the driveline loss was right at 24%. Of course, that is assuming GMs claim of 275 crank hp for a stock 2000 5.3 was accurate. It made 208 rwhp.

I had to add 2psi to my setup before it would pull as hard in 4wd as it would in 2hi...if that makes sense.

I do more street then track so 4wd down here is the way to go. What I run at the track is what I can put down on the street. Most 2wds won't put the power down like they can at the track so I'm always at an advantage there.

I'll agree with you on that. It's just simply the fact that we now live in a world where 1000+ horsepower street cars can be built with relative ease.

I got a old Chrysler product with a 511 inch Hemi with Stage 5 **** that puts down a little over 500 rwhp that I drive on the street (pump gas, can idle in traffic on a 90* summer day type deal). I can leave a stop light with the tires on fire, or the equivalent of around a 1.50-1.60 60' time. This is really what I consider a street car (not a 1000+rwhp turbo/blown set up that tears up parts, is temperamental and out right stupid at full throttle on the street).

Everyone's opinion of what a street car is is different and the debate will continue forever. So for me, my Chrysler is a street car and it's motor belongs in a 2wd car chassis.

Sorry for the derail. I took the car to a drive-in meet tonight, so I feel like talking about it. lol
