Default Hooking up a boost controller to wastegate

How are you guys hooking up a reference line to the wastegate with a boost controller? I've heard couple diff ways.
So I looked it up on jgs website and found these diagrams
1.with out a controller

2.with manual boost controller

3. With high end boost controller? Not sure what's different between a std boost controller and this

When I started out a just ran a reference line from boost controller to the single port on the wastegate and left the second one left to air. Like in diagram 1
I was wondering if I should change it and go with it like its illustrated in diagram 2

So lets see how everyone does it

My new setup will have both sides of the gate routed through the boost solenoid but controlled independently. Allows to run a minimum of spring pressure and a max of whatever boost the turbos can make.

So hooking up my controller to both ports like diagram 2 will change what? Compared toe running a controller hooked to just the one port on diagram one....

Well, my new one is an electronic boost controller that runs a 4 port solenoid. So its a little more complicated.
