High IAT
#11
I have been tring to lower the IATs on my KB for years. I've installed extra temp sensors for testing, installed a large heat exchanger and a higher volume pump, opened up induction to reduce pumping losses, etc. I still get absurd temp rise in boost. There is lots of discussion thruout various threads on this board but here is one thread that gets into what I believe is the root cause, the actual intercooler in the manifold.

There is also some discussion in my build thread...

Currently with the large hex and higher flowing pump, cruising IATs run 10-20 degrees above ambient but climb dramatically when in boost.

Hi, BigKID I read your build thread, I'll try the larger heat ex-changer.That spacer looks interesting . I saw your truck on you tube, looks good. Its awesome your on this site as well. What type of power you making now? I am at 500 at the wheels but the temps were around 70 degrees when it was on the dyno.

I didn't see any measurable performance gains from the phenolic spacer and have since removed it after seeing some scuffing on the rotors.
I haven't had it on a dyno but I speculate mid-600whp based on track times.
