Default High Compression + boost

I've been thinking about later on down the road throwing a turbo on my truck. It's a forged 370 and is at 11.5:1 compression which I'm currently spraying, and it's my DD. Would say a 76-ish mm turbo on 7 or 8 lbs even be worth it or should I lower the compression and run more boost. I've seen smaller engines run higher compression and lower boost and run great, but I'm kind of new to the truck game so any advice would be appreciated.

I ran 11:1 on my 408 with a tvs1900 at 7lbs. It was an awesome daily driver and had *** loads of torque.

Around 600 based on my weight an 1/8th trap speed. Keep in mind I have a 14b axle and heavy 35" tires.

Got it. My truck ran a 7.30 1/8 full street trim on a baby shot, but I'd like the power to always be there, unlike the nitrous.

7-8 would be safe on the street with meth, I wouldn't do much more than that.

my thoughts are, yes. I like the idea of not having to brake stall it way up to get boost, and getting to 7-8 lbs should be easier to get than 15+ on a low comp motor. think diesel.
