Default high boost on low or low boost on high !!

well this is an important question and i always wanted to know the right answer for it .

high compression/low boost makes more power than low compression/high boost?????

lets say the same turbo + same engine + same cars .

whos gonna win???

I've heard both ways.....

But most will likely say low comp eng + high boost = faster....
More air and fuel in the cylinder to light off = more power..
Now for everyday driving and a wide power band high comp eng + boost = drivability..

What I don't understand is the fact everyone says "Nitrous Loves compression" What the hell is the differents between boost and nitrous besides IAT's?

The IAT's don't even change that much...well with the 75 shot.

Boost>Compression.

Nitrous is a compressed or pure oxygen and doesn't take up as much space, so it doesn't need the physical volume that air does. Less physical volume means more of it with the same combustion pressure.

low compression will make more power but will be less responsive down low. Good to have a compromise between the two.

Hmm.. nitrous = N2 O = 2 parts Nitrogen and 1 part Oxygen. Yes it is compressed but only until discharged, then it is the same pressure as the ambient air BUT it contains 33% more oxygen, hence it's effectiveness. N20 Increases cylinder pressure.

right, but the power isn't from the oxygen, its from the fuel that is added...

You can't add fuel without having the oxygen to burn it. N2O adds the oxygen so you can burn more fuel.

ummmmm

Last I checked the power came from the Oxygen. If you added fuel and no oxygen the engine would flood.

Don't forget N2Os cooling effect.
