i have 1 3/4" kooks. quality is great. you want to size the header primaries for the power its going to make. for 600 wheel i think 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 is good. anything more you are hurting the lower end and aren't gaining anything up top unless you rev the **** out of it.

Yea for mild boost on a 6.2 I'd go 1 7/8". I've been debating the 2" primary headers for my truck if that's any indication of when you will want them. My truck should be in the 10'a

this truck is a 5.3L...can't afford something good, might have to go with pacesetters, no cats and turbo mufflers. true dual out the sides ahead of the rear wheel?
or will that be too loud? maybe re-weld in the oem cats? would that be too restrictive?

I'm hearing you BIG time
at the moment, we went way over budget. this started as whipple kit, no tune, 4.375" sc pulley, and hp tuners software
Now we are into 6.2L injectors, LT4 cam and springs, 4" pulley and all the friggin time, not to mention hard fuel lines and other throw away bolts.etc...just to try and get reliable fueling, and bring down whipple's joke of setting the hpfp max pressure to 30 mpa from oem 21.5.
So, at this point in time, some $300 headers might get the stuff out, while kooks, arh, and even tsp's are pretty much out of the question for at least 6 months or more.
the pacesetters should be a fair bit better than stock manifolds, no?
btw: how much power can a stock 5.3L handle (gen V) ? I mean the internals...no meth, daily driver with conservative tune until a forged . balanced 6.2 can be built (down the road)
