I mounted mice here. You can go as big as you want in this spot. These pics are before I installed an air dam, In the process of building my scoop. Will get pics of it up as soon as im done.

Mine is 24X12X3 core size. It cools great. 50* improvement @WOT.

that looks good. but my valance and bumper do not have very good hole in them for this like the gmc. but i have a idea to try.

how wide are those frame rails them selves? and how far apart are they?

If you need 75 lbs per minute to get to your hp goal you would need 50 sq in of internal core flow. An 18x24 core would flow 54 sq in. With a 4" thick core you would have 13.5" of frontal flow area. A 3" thick core has 18" of frontal flow area. The 3" thick would dissipate heat faster due to the air being able to travel through the core easier.

Bigger is not always better. Get what you need, but dont go overkill.
This core is 18x12x3 and works great.

No-one said it doesnt work, but have you wondered how it would respond with a smaller core? If it boosted better and still cooled as well, seems like that would be more desirable.
