Default Got my 90mm Radix conversion ready to but need help.

Got my J tube from 2005SSR6Speed back in Sept. & went with a TSP PTM 90mm TB.

A few questions

1. Anyone know the gasket that is needed between the TB and the J tube? I think its a GM parts one.

2. What is the gasket sealant needed between the J tube and the blower. Believe some might have used "right stuff" but wanted to make sure.

3. Where do I get the bolts for the TB? If I can use my old bolts, great (haven't tried) but I would still be 1 bolt short. Currently I have zip ties holding in the picture.

4. I suspec I will have to pull my blower to install this. Just wondering if anyone used any "tricks" to get it on while in the engine bay or is this something that eveyone had done on the workbench.

Thanks for the help.

I can help you on the last question, You can do it while the blower is still in the truck. Bolts are kinda hard to get to but really not to bad. The hardest part for me was getting the "J" tube off after the bolts were out. Until somebody told me to get a rubber mallet and give her a good whack and it worked. I don't remember what sealent I used and the gasket and bolts came with the J tube and TB package I bought from Richard at WCCH

you will need the anarobic sealer for the blower/Jtube flange....and a 2005 C6/GTO Tb gasket. I think I have the GM part number at the shop, I will post it up tomorrow.

Should be some good info in this thread.

My TB cam with the bolts. Should be able to hit the parts store for the correct ones. Same thread as the studs in your current.

I bought a TB gasket for like an 05 vette. It wasn't the right one, should be a round 0-ring. It was an o-ring style but shaped like one for a 78mm TB. I was able to cut it up and splice it to make it work.

Good Luck!

Try a 8.1L gasket. Thats what my whipple used to seal the TB to the supercharger. The blower was smooth and it was a stock TB. Maybe this will help. The gasket is a gasket not an O ring style if that was your looking for.
