Well guys i have a good deal on a 2009 iron 6.0 short block for my 2010 5.3 turbo truck.

What do you think should i do? I was about to get a cam for my 5.3 and delete the DOD till i got this deal.

Should i just buy the 6.0 and buy a cam for it and just drop my 5.3 and intake on the 6.0 with 12 lb's of boost?

I can get a short block 6.0 for 300 bucks. So I was thinking on dropping the 6.0 with a boost cam, instead of buying the dod delete system to my 5.3.

How much horsepower is diferrence from the 5.3 to a 6.0?

Im getting this 6.0 short block cheap because I buy motors from him. He usually sell them for 370.00 to 400$ You need one I can get you one.

So back to my thread lol, I'm reall was thinking of getting a isky cam and going 12 lbs of boost on my 5.3 but since I can get this 6.0 I just want to know power I would get from swaping the 6.0.

 

I say you get the LY6, save up for a cam for it. Until then, just run your 5.3 as is for now. A 6.0 is better than a 5.3. A cammed 6.0 is even better still.
