I guess I have one more question.. will i need to upgrade my maf/map sensors on this L9H to read boost? or do the stock ones have enough in them?

and second part to that, if i need new ones,, what would be best to get?

MAF on the will read all the boost you'll ever need. Not sure on the MAP sensor but I would throw a 2 bar sensor in there and have your tuner adjust the tune accordingly.

Ok, so looking on here, probably the easiest and one of the least expensive would be to get the zl1 map sensor for my truck.. like this one? should be direct replacement.

Well.. stuff starting to show up. Got my new spark plugs and injectors today, got the dashlogic and wide band over the weekend. Also picked up a set of stock chrome 20inch rims, going to put some nito 420s 305/50r20's to try and get a bit better traction when I am playing.

Did my pre-build Dyno run today. I am running a little lean on this run as well as 33's on it.

I pulled 311rwhp@5356 and 340rwtq@4111 in 3rd gear.

If i wasn't running lean that would be a little more, as well as having the 33s on it. But it is a good starting point.. will be nice to see the increase, and it will be on the same dyno, so the increase will be very accurate. Will be 3 weeks or so before I can have everything on it, and get it tuned.

Congrats on moving forward with a Whipple! This is very similar to what I would like to do to my 2wd Denali once warranty runs out. Keep This thread going, Id like to see what comes out in the end.

New 20's with Nitto 420s 305/50r20's

OK, here it is with the new 20 inch rims and that Nitto 420s's @ 305/50r20. These should give me a little better grab on the pavement ( though if I reach the 500rwhp/650 crank I'm shooting for nothings going to grab very well ).

A few addendums.. I am going to upgrade the TB to a 90mm, stock off of the camaro/corvette. Also found out that Whipple has been running 2-3 weeks backlog..so my kit probably won't ship till next week sometime if I am lucky. the week after if not..so.. sitting here like an 8 year old on Christmas eve waiting for Santa to come....Fedex ground says it should only take two days from CA to AZ, but we will see.

I have everything but the kit in now I think. I even picked up my own HP tuners.. will save me a hundred with the tuner since I will use my interface, he doesn't have to buy two credits. Will make it easy to change wheels back and forth too, since even if he locks the tune to my interface, I can still edit with it.

So.. Total items going in to date.. Whipple tuner kit, DeatschWerks 72lb injectors, Wide band O2 controller, Dash Logic, MAP off of a ZL1, 90MM TB, NGK sparkplugs, caltracs ( hooked up when I want to play), the tires shown above.. and Hptuners setup, should be fun !.

One small change.. going to send back the 72lb injectors and go with FIC 85lb ones. the 72lb ones are not quite as much room for growth if I run e85..and with the target we are looking at, the 72lb ones might be higher IDC that i want.

Wide band, Dashlogic, Spark Plugs, Injectors and 8psi pulley.

Catch can, TB and MAP sensor plus the extras
Have everything in but the actual super charger. Got the extra pulley already, but not the SC itself. The caltrac's are still in a box, but have them in the garage too.

Well, looks like Santa showed up in time for Fathers day....... Will be over a week before I can get time to install, so next week I will get the last things done that I need, get the Wide band bung welded in, and get all the prework done i can, like putting the injectors, map sensor and TB on the Whipple. Will have the tuner setup for the Monday right after..so.. all things go good I will be driving a rather nicely powered truck come the 27th.

nice matched set of injectors

Probably my wheels while the truck is at the tuners.
