Default Going from bad to worse

Had a trans slip issue with my truck.
Took to dealer[buddy]
First thing they said is they have had a rash of same symtems/same truck and they have a updated flash that will fix, he didn't think it was a mechanical failure.
I put the truck pcm to stock so they could flash it.
After they were done, I go to re-intall radix tune, it uploads my stock tune and quits, says need a program update, call magnason.
Truck won't start.
Try and put back to stock with superchips and it won't load, still won't start.
It's not the theft lock issue as the icon on the dash is not flashing.
Dealer is going to try and reflash again to stock. Still won't be drivable without newest magnason update.
Called Magnason to get updated handheld and they need my handheld back to re-flash, they can't send me an exchange without charging me 350.00 for new unit, said they could not re-program with mine if I exchanged it.
On top of that the guy at magnason said my pcm may be fried anyway.
I'm in eastern canada so turn around for this stuff a little long due to freIght and customs etc.
How about the fact that the magnason handheld pulled my stock tune and then didn't have the ability to reload it when it fiqured it could not proceed to install the radix tune and has left me stranded, and they want 350 to send me a replacement handheld to get me back on the road, without me having to send mine in for update and then wait to get it back.
It might be just as cheap and fast to get Nelson pcm at this point.

any suggestions?
