Thanks for all the replies guys!
I will pin the crank very soon then, ill order a kit today.
So the trucker or the GT2-3....will I be losing power with the LEP cam over the others, or just making it for a worse daily driver without benefits? I do have a relatively loose 2600 stall in there now too if that makes a difference.
You guys say the stock cam is really holding me back eh? What sort of gains can I expect from a cam swap? How far can I rev the LQ4 with a new cam with valve spings and push rods? Whats the bottom end good for safely, probably more than the radix will even push too probably?

Its going to shift your power band up higher in the rpm range therefore spinning the already hot blower even higher. Your IATs are going to skyrocket and start pulling crazy timing or blow the engine. That cam would be better suited for TVS 1900 at minumum if not 2300. Its a good blower cam dont get me wrong but just not well suited for your blower.
40 hp on your older LQ4 should be pretty easy, regardless of your mods the most you can hope for is mid 500s with every possible mod since the 112 can physically only flow so much air. I wouldnt worry about the bottom end as long as your tune is good. The biggest thing with radixs from what Ive been reading(getting ready to tune my setup) is an aggresive IAT timing table so you dont pop it once youve turned your radix into a blow torch.

So I have talked with Joe at leftcoast about getting his pinning kit and HD tensioner set-up. I forgot to ask about bigger idlers...will they help too with belt slip or not necessary with the better tensioner? I'm going to be ordering a 2.8 pulley soon too, and hopefully I see lest dust then I do now!
As for the cam, sounds like something like the Vinci Trucker may be the way to go. Wish there was more comparison between that and the GT2-3. I'm not quite ready for the cam yet, but will be looking for some to pop up in the classifieds as well as springs and pushrods. Will LS6 springs work for this or do I need something better?

joeyc125, the isky cam you have for sale..the lsa is 114...i know the trucker is a 115 but isnt 114 starting to get a little too much for a blower..especially the 114?
