I don't have a DBW truck to experiment on so I'm having to rely on others to help with this. My suspicion here is the TAC modules, but I'm open to any help or suggestions regarding this matter. If the issue does come down to the TAC module, I'll be happy to replace the ones that are having problems.
I'd like some feedback from everyone as to the engine and year of your trucks and if your experiencing the tb issue.

Richard,
Mine is a:
2005 GMC Sierra 5.3
TAC module: TMD1-160E1
503-076908

"I just received my 90mm tb and kit from WCCH and plugged it all in.

I first checked my stock setup with my HPT scanner connected.
stock the TB goes all the way open 90* at 100% TPS indicated just before the throttle pedal is all the way down.

Next I checked the 90mm stuff, it will only open 75% of the way,
the scanner shows that the throttle is at 100% when the throttle pedal is only at 75% if you push the throttle more nothing changes still indicates 100%
and the TB is still only 75% open, I think this is a problem and my be why some are not seeing the expected gains from this mod."

another possibility to consider(however slight):

is the 90mm tb supposed to open 90deg @ 100%WOT?

anyone have a ls2 vette they can confirm with?

This sounds like it could be a TPS adjustment problem to me (e.g. the TPS is showing max volts at 75% open). What does your TPS read with 0 input to the pedal?

EFI Live commercial and workshop allows for the ECT values to be edited. I wonder if these tables should be adjusted for the new tb? Does HPT have a similar feature these days?

Did you use your stock TAC module with the stock TB and the 02 TAC module with the 90mm TB when you did these tests? I don't recall if I tested the 90mm TB with my 04 TAC module to see what happened.

quick lesson on TAC modules in their original design intent:

03-05 TAC modules have an aluminum mounting base, 01-02 TAC modules are all black plastic including the mounting base.

Yes, I used the stock TAC with the stock TB and the new supplied TAC with the 90mm, I also tried to use the stock TAC with the 90mm and it thru codes
and would not work at all.

My stock 2005 truck has the tAC module with the alluminum mounting base.

The one supplied with my 90mm is the one (tAC) with the Plastic body and base, is the 2002 Plastic TAC the unit I need with the 90mm TB on my 2005 truck?
