Gm roush tvs1900
Hey guys i had some questions about my Roush S/C!!! I was wondering if someone can help me that knows about these.. I called Roush performance today asking about the S/C i got and i felt like the guy didnt wanna say anything about them he was basically was just saying "we made them for a 3rd party company and they slapped Roush's name on them so Roush had to scrap the project and sell them cheap to get rid of them because they are licensed with Ford".. I asked how much boost can this S/C make the guy said about 18-20lbs but i just have to get a smaller pulley and a bigger crank pulley. I also asked if this S/C can handle a bigger motor like a 408 lq9 stroker and the guy from Roush said yeah it can, it has the power to. He also said it was made for the Gen 4 truck/suvs and it has really good parts in the S/C unit.
Any ideas if the guy was telling me the truth and are these Roush S/C even good and can power up the 408?

To get more boost, you would have to machine the snout or get a bigger crank pulley. A couple of guys have machined the snout for smaller pulleys on here, maybe just TIM Z though. Here's a thread about it.
I wouldn't see a problem putting the TVS1900 on a 408; wouldn't be ideal, but it would make power.

Yep, expensive change right there. I doubt you can find one for the price they used to be though...might as well get a maggie at this point. Atomic had a 1900 on his 408 and spinning the hell out of it only made 8psi, IIRC. The blower will make 18psi, but it would have to be a 4.8L or smaller

I already went with a bigger crank pulley and I asked him for the place where he got his snout done a while back and I called the place it's about $800 to machine it off and custom put a magnacharger type pulley on there and pulleys and shipping isn't included with that price
You already have the blower, why not have it machined like i showed ya and then you'll be set, or go thru the hassel of selling and spending more cash to get a different setup? .
Your blower will work fine on a 408, But a 2300 would def be better, but either way it should run like a raped ape.
You just need to sit down and think about what you want and what your budget allows!

Yep, with the deal i got on my kit even after machine work i still have half the cost of the maggie kit, it was 725 to have it machined and now it will accept any MP 112/122 pulley. I make 12psi with spikes to 14, with an OD Innovators west crank pulley and 2.6 blower pulley.

Can someone get me a list of parts that i need to buy to make a Lq9 or Lq4 into a 408 stroker or a website that has one for a reasonable price
