We installed this intercooler in front of the radiator and it's a fat 4 inches thick. We also have a big BM trans cooler between the radiator and condensor and we still haven't see temps any higher than stock.

Also, you can fit a nice sized intercooler behind the air dam and keep it vertical.

looking good so far, I can't wait to see the tt.

A lot of those extra 'parts' you see were 'mock ups' we put there to gauge the location of the 4WD driveline parts
Mounting the intercooler this way also has the advantage of giving it frontal airflow without needing to cut a hole in the front bar. What you all think?

I guess you have 03+ Silverado there with more space behind the grill compared to 02 and earlier year models.

Personnaly, I like your setup, the intercooler behind the grill. It's safe from any road hit.

Looks like you will be placing the twins similar to your F-body TT kit. I see one turbo on the pass side, driver side in your RH drive truck.

That looks like an 07 with the battery up by the firewall on the pass side.

Is it just me or are those intercoolers behind the bumper going to have some poor efficiency numbers because of the lack of air flow? It might not be a bad idea if you made a scoop to force air through the intercooler.

Right now I have an air dam that works pretty good. Almost finished with the scoop though. Should have pics in the near future.

Its hard to see in our pics, but the intercooler sits at a 15 degree inclined angle from horizontal to make sure it receives excellent frontal airflow
As seen in this shot -
