Default fuel for turbo 383

ok what is the most inexpensive route to go for adequate fueling for my 383 turbo. 10.48:1 compression 5 psi DD 7psi track. intercooled 31x18x4 and no meth (because its just more to buy) not sure on what power level it will be at. it will have 4" exhaust, stock 317 heads, mild cam, turbo is gt67. oh and its the returnless fuel system.

43 lb injectors and a walbro 255 lph high pressure in tank pump will take care of your needs.

42lb is too small for a 383/turbo in a heavy truck. I'd do 60lb injectors.

will a walbro 255lph provide enough fuel? a guy on tech made 600+rwhp on 7psi with about the same compression.

I did the same hp with a 370, 43s and a walbro. If you plan on turning it up which you will, you should do 60s and 2 walbros to begin with.

where to get the 60's ever one talks about?

i may go with this for pumps. Chevy Truck 5.3/6.0 Double Pumper - Twin High Output Fuel Pump Kit, Wiring Harness & Hobbs Switch - Fully Assembled & Tested - Requires your sending unit for modification
2004 up Non-Return Style requires additional fuel system components $599.99

but after its said and done for returnless system it was more. but should i just do it like that or get the boost-a-pump and a one walbro? which would be more reliable in the long run and everyday use?

Me too.

I'd also switch to a return style, or heavily upgrade the returnless (see Dr. X's recent returnless post)

Fuelling is very important. From the looks of it your truck is not light so it will need more fuel. You need a custom fuel system that has 2 pumps, braided lines, rails ect. Meth would be a very smart investment too.

I'm tuning a 5.3L with a procharger P1 right now.It has 44lb injectors and they would be maxed if we didn't have meth on the vehicle.
