Default fuel set up 1/4 tank help!!

well the fuel set up is running fine. the friend i had help me had done a few setups befor. the think is when i have 1/4 tank and im just riding around. it starts sucking air. now the bucket is in the same place as stock but the tube has been put in a little diff. and it runs down to the bottom of the bucket. he cut a hole in the bucket so that at wot the fuel would run past the bucket and fill it up. now i dont agree with it because the return is goin in to the bucket and keeping it full...? now i dont know what all to tell you other than i just want to be about to the fuel out to "E" just like a stock truck and not have to fill up at a 1/4 tank all the time.

so just let me know what yall think

like a fuel cell. put it in the bed and run the big pump from it and a stock pump intank to the cell? if so i had talked about that. but i did not want more than one pump to worry about. is there a way to just use the one pump i have? or hell does anyone make a tank with a set up like im thinking of?

Might aswell get a fuel cell with fuel sending unit instead of the surge tank.

Could the float arm for the gauge be bent, and the tank actually empty?

Cool, I just happen to have a 1/2ton small tank sitting here on the ground ready to start measurments and designing. Could build to allow use of the stock sensor etc, and or A1000/comprible Hi dollar efi pumps.. or dual 255 pumps, stock pump/ and A1000 etc..
Its just aluminum and welding. LOL
Give a shout to go over possiblities.

Now that's a hell of an idea, make a replacement tank with options on pump setups
