fuel pump?

so i noticed my fuel pressure was about 5psi lower then what its suppose to be. haynes said key on truck off 55-62psi...im gettin 49-50ish. queastion is, if i get an inline pump would that help or is it limited to what the intake pump can push?

Sounds like your in-tank pump may be getting tired or your FPR is not operating properly. You should see 52 psi or so at idle, 58 psi general driving and cruising and up to 63 psi or so WOT. I see 54 psi KOEO(ff).
Check your FPR, after a drive, by pulling off the vacuum line to the intake manifold. If it is wet with fuel then the FPR needs to be replaced. If it is not the FPR then your pump may be getting weak and need to be replaced.
If your in-tank pump is in good shape an in-line 255 LPH fuel pump will work well and should not be limited by your in-tank pump.
I have been running a Walbro GSL392 255 LPH pump since April 2005 and it is still going strong. At 10 psi boost I see 68 psi fuel pressure up to my shift at 5600RPM.
So yes an in-line pump is a great addition to your fuel system if the other parts are in good condition. In fact with a turbo it is a must imho.
You should also have 44 lb/hr injectors if you don't have them already and NGK Tr6 plugs.

thanks alot. yeah i pulled off the vacum to see how high my pressure would be without it. it bumped a little. i think ill add a inline for now. i got 44lb marine injectors. just got the TR6's, had some cold autolights in there untill checkers got in some TR6's. if the in tank goes though, the inline isnt going to be able to pull the fuel needed right?
