Ok, Installed the walbro 255 inline pump last night . Pretty sure it fixed the problem. was leaning out before in the upper RPM's to 12.2 -12.5 . Now it will lean out to 11.8-9 then starts to get richer as rpms climb. Need to check Fuel pressure still, but the pinging has gone away. YEAH!!!!!!!!!!

Oh very sorry! A huge thanks To Rick at Trick Performance for building my my Hotwire kit for the new pump. Had plenty of wire to run the relay from under the hood out to the inline pump. Dame wire is as thick as Battery cable probably enough to power a city block, LOL!!! Just kidding. But the wire guage was very thick, I sure i will not to have voltage drop because of wiring. Did not hot wire the stock intank pump yet, I was too lazyand tired last night. Plus my eyes were burning from being sprayed in the face with gas.

Ok just ran the truck around the block with the fuel pressure guage hooked up. At idle sits about 54 psi, stab the throttle from a stop instantly jumps to 60 psi, then climbs to 68 psi as rpms rise and stays there. So I think its all good now! Thanks again Rick for the Hot wire kit!

Make sure you hotwire the stock pump.I have seen inlines dry out the line going to the intank before. I doubt the draw is that high on yours but it can't hurt.
Cold weather is the #1 FI engine destroyer.Load goes up,Fuel demand goes up. We see a ton of blown motors around this time of year. Luckilly they are not from our shop.

How would it dry out the line going to the intank?

Pretty much what Dan said.We very rarely will run inline pumps if a stronger intank can be used. A generic fix is bigger injectors that can make up for fuel pressure drop -ie- why I'm running 60lb injectors on my own truck.
