just wondering. did your exhaust note change after you installed the turbo? mine has a weird sound to it and i just want to make sure its the turbo doing it. its hard to explain, maybe a gargle noise. only under boost. normal driving it sounds the same as before. but when it spools up it sounds wierd from part throttle to full throttle.

 

That is normal, you are just hearing the air across the turbine. What muffler are you running?

 

magnaflow. 3" in dual 3" out. its a stock replacement the rest of the exhaust is stock. will it get better or worse with the 3.5" downpipe and 4" exhaust? don't really care as long as its normal.

 

I don't know Im running the same muffler as you but single out with no tail pipe. I will be going to a 3.5'' Dp and 3.5, or 4'' muffler in the next month or so. I will let you know. I do know when I uncorked it at the Dp once on the street it sounded like major ****. So bad I refuse to run it that way at the track.

 

so yours does sound like mine i'm use to my cammed silverado with magnaflow. it sounded like a race car at wot.

 

Its probably normal. I have the same muffler as you, but i just have 3" from the DP, to the muffler, then a dump. It sounds a tad raspy when reved in park, but it has a nice deep tone before the psshhhhh.

 

Its probably normal, turbo quiet down the exhaust and make it sound alittle different.

Great a new order... New DP and a NEW wastegate connection junction...Do you want a cut out location aswell.

The noise is probably normal. you will be able to tell if it chances with the new exhuast..
