No, the VE table is based off RPM's and MAP kpa, you will still hit the same cells in that table. However the actual values for any given cell will be lower with the cutout closed, as this restriction will decrease the volumetric efficiency of the engine relatively speaking. What kind of tune do you plan to run? If you ran a COS3 for example, you could tune your entire Boost VE table with the cutout open and it would be safe throughout boost which is where your really concerned. Put it into closed loop and let your trim's compensate for whichever way you choose to tune your primary VE table.

mine runs fine when the cutout is closed no problems at all. I run an inovate wideband and doesnt seem to affect it either way. I gues depends what catback you use tho, im running the 6.2 3.5 inch exhaust on my truck so it flows pretty good.

I run strictly OLSD 2 BAR. No MAF or O2s.
When i had my last turbo i had it setup really safe around 11.0-11.2AFR. So if i tuned it like that again for 6psi and towing with the cutout closed it would still be safe even if it leaned out to 11.5-11.7 cutout open.
Plus Meth injection. Forgot i still got that in the shop.
