are you going to be running electric fans in front of the radiator?

I want to mount the turbo centered and a little bit below the throttle body. Both headers are going to come forward and Y underneith the turbo. All the tubing is 304 stainless, as well as the header flanges. The engine will stay completely stock untill the customer gets greedy.

HOLY ****, niiiiice build so far! Didn't take the easy out with log manifolds and they look like they will flow beautifully, all symetrical too, if the planets are aligned you just might get the pulses to work out from the individual cylinders and help efficiency even more.
Your turbo looks to be mounted really low.....are you going to be able to get enough drop for the gravity feed into the oil pan? I thought turbos wanted the return to enter the pan above the oil lever for least restriction.....

The eletric fans are mounted on the back side of the rad. There is no room in front with all the other coolers and AC.

The turbo itself if definatel above the oil level. We are going to try and hook up the return today. If we can get enough drop it will be a gravity return. I think it will work, but we'll have to see how the lines have run first. If we cant get it run with a constant drop then we'll have to make a resaviour and a return pump.

Another day, and a little bit closer.

Down pipe is made, fuel pump is closer, a couple more connectors are extended, and a couple more things I cant ever remember.

Looks killer man! Maybe I missed it, but what do you plan for insulation? I see lots of plastic in "melt" zones

na, you didn't miss it. You'll see it though. I'm making stainless air gap radiant shields for most of it. The down pipe will be wraped though.

wow! crazy set up. not really sure how that is going to work out for you with that giant turbo and stock cubes. keep up the pics and updates.

i wouldn't sweat the rod bolts. they are mainly for when you want to spin it up high and there is no point in that. if you keep it from detonating you should be able to go 10+psi. lasting awhile at 15+psi wouldnt suprize me. i ran my 4.8 at 15-20psi for awhile and never hurt it but i ran race fuel for that. tranny wont be happy at all.

Impressive setup man!! I as well as probably everyone else who has a pulse really appreciate all the coverage and great pictures as this project has evolved. It is truly nice to see someone doing something a little different that the usual. Good job.
