SO, since i am getting to rebuild my 5.3 into a 383 stroker and run at least 12lbs of boost would METH be a good safty net for protecting my new motor? I am new at this whole Meth stuff...

Well I was considering meth as my final mod ( )...now that I read this I guess I'll do it after I get the LTs and exhaust finished.

Damn you KY, you've cost me another $500.

I think so. Even though your intercooled it still would allow more timing advance at a given boost pressure.

Meth won't protect anything...it is just a higher octane fuel that lets you run more timing. If anything, you will have to watch things closer. If you tune for the meth under high boost then run out of meth, you will run lean and risk blowing something up.

BTW, kbracing96 helped me decide to go back to running 100% meth instead of water. I am running 100% water right now and it's not getting me hardly anything. I was hoping for significant cooling of the intake charge, but have seen only a slight drop in IAT's.

Are there different size jets as with nitrous or is it an On/Off switch? Does a progressive controller adjust the flow rate of the pump? So with your windshield washer tank how many WOT (say 1/4 mile) blasts do you think you can do before a meth refill would be required?

The ALKY control is progresive. You have thee adjustments.
One is the psi turn on point.
Two is the ramp up
Three is the Gain for the Pump it-self.
As far as jets I'm not sure.
I have my Meth set-up to come on at 2 psi, and the ramp-up speed turned all the way up.
Then have the gain set in the middle.

You can get several 1/4 mile runs in on one washer-fluid tank full. I made 5 runs last time I went with the gain and ramp turned all the way up and probably went through 1/4 of my tank. What really kills it is staying WOT up to 130 mph+ (don't ask how I know ). Then it doesn't last too long.

the way i understand it the 3 adjusments are.

1. turn on psi
2. initial pump speed(spray volume/presure)
3. ramp up speed as boost increases(gain)

i have twin 15 nozles. turn on psi is around 4psi. inital is about 1/2 and gain is set to max but i have a 3bar map so at 20psi(2.5bar) i might not be at full pump speed.
