Default FI suggestions for bone stock 4.8

I own a 1999 Silverado 4x4, RCSB, 4.8, 4l60, 3.73 w/G80. It's my daily driver and I just want to make it more fun to drive. I'm interested in forced induction but can't decide between turbo or supercharger. I really don't want to have to mess with any of the internals either. Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

Definitiely going to come down to peoples opinions... and most are going to scream TURBO..TURBO...TURBO..and its the "cool thing to do" right now. But im with terravast4.. i would go tvs1900 and call it a day. Ive owned both, and turbo has way more potential but for quick, easy fun and *** loads of torque you cant beat a maggie. Which is why im going back with one over a turbo.

Ill agree with Kaz, throw a blower on and be done! Whether it be an MP112 or TVS1900, you wont be disappointed.

S/C will be easier and probably cheaper if you get used.

If you decide to go turbo, I would get: <=83 mm turbine wheel, <= 1.0 a/r t4 housing, 70~72 mm inducer compressor (assuming you'll be happy with less than 700 whp if its your dd). I would stay away from T6 or big T4 turbine wheels/housings. Well... unless you like lag...

I would worry about your 4l60 with any option.

True Story!! With any means of FI, you will be looking to upgrade your tranny and that rearend eventually... preferably before major carnage

Thanks for all the input. I was leaning toward the blower anyways. But every thing/every where/everyone is into turbo. I guess it's like kaz said...."it's the kool thing"

A used MP112 may be the least expensive option for you. I guarantee it can make enough power to grenade your rear diff and/or transmission.

Again, thanks for all the input.
I've been doing some reading on SC's. Wouldn't I be better off going with a Centrifugal type (Paxton/Vortech) in the long run? More potential later down the road?
