Thought it would be good to put these all in one post to help anyone with these questions. They seem to rear their heads all too often and are dangerous situations as well. Some of this is STS, but all pertain to FI set ups. Please add links, I know I missed some.

Nice thread and way to compile everything. I've been seeing a lot more of these "oil blowing everwhere" threads lately. It's just something that we really need to stay on top of due to the lack of crankcase breathing designed into these engines.

From all my reading the best solution for us STS guys is to tap the oil pan for the return line. I think Im going to do that before I throw the motor back in.
And remove your oil fill neck extension, the cap fits much tighter directly into the valve cover.
I actually thought about drilling and tapping a fitting right into the valve cover, I've got an extra set lying around.....
