Went to opening day today at the track. I had my new drag radials on and still couldn't get it to hook! Also I was fighting a 25 - 35 mph headwind with 45 mph gusts!

 

Sooo were you the 10sec or 15sec?

 

That annoys the **** out of me when people do that. At least circle it on the slip or something.

 

I was the right lane @ 10.83

I was happy to get in the 10's finally but unhappy because I know it's got a lot more left and could have ran 10.5's I honestly believe. The head wind killed me and the spinning were a bad combo today. Not to mention, the owner of the track came up to me right after that run and told me I couldn't come back until I got a roll bar. He did let me finish the day though and didn't give me the boot, which was really cool of him. Unfortunately, as the day wore on, the wind got worse. That last run was my best 60' of the day at 1.58 and it only ran a 10.9 because of the wind!

I think the other dude's brakes locked up I heard.

 

Wow 10.5 is a huge difference!

You guys and getting kicked out of tracks....I could wear flip flops and a tshirt with gym shorts and run in the 5s (1/8) at the tracks around here and never a word as long as I have a helmet.
