Default Exhaust Manifold Sizing

For anyone with a log style manifold, what is the diameter of the piping connected to the exahust manifold flange? Also, what is the diameter of the log portion of the manifold?

I am doing a twin kit, and used 1.5" to the flange. Sch10 is very close ID to 1.625. I also used 2.5 sch 10 for the log. I think that is pretty close to the area for a T4 flange. I know guys have used 2" for a log, but I went with 2.5.

Would you have changed any of those sizes if it was for a single setup?

If you go this route get the long radius elbows, you will need the distance to make sure your elbows and log clear the sparkplug enough for access.

I appreciate the help. I was planning to use the long radius ones so it's good to know I was on the right track.

I simply cannot bring myself to pay about $1.5-1.8k for such a simple exhaust setup so I figure I might as well make it myself in order to accomodate the components I want.

just wait till you price materials, wait till you factor Argon and fill rod, then figure in your time...Youll soon come to see damn it wasnt that badly priced

George mentions important things. You will have to get the flange machined when you are done too. I am way over what I thought I would be. I needed something different as I am not running an alternator up top, and I need it to miss my steering shaft. I am doing this in a 72 Chevelle.
