Eaton w/more displacement
#1
Will Eaton ever produce a blower with more displacement? Are there shortcomings inherent with a roots blower that won't allow them to? I read Eaton will have some surprises later this year. Was that eluding to possibly a larger blower?
There are plenty of tests showing how a screw type blower outperforms the Eaton, but it seems the tests are skewed somewhat. Placing a larger blower against a smaller. The KB Lightning replacemant outperforms the M112, but has nearly a Liter more displacement! Of course it will win.
What I'd like to see is maybe an Eaton in the neighborhood of 2.3L. Up to certian boost levels I bet it could produce similar hp/tq numbers as it's screw counterpart.

How soon and will any company offer a direct bolt on for the Lightning? Before I buy a 2.6L KB I need more enticement, to make me wait. I would prefer to use an Eaton that will be more efficient in the bottom end, mid range.
I own a black Lightning and cruise San Marcos, N. County looking for the occasional race.

BlownChevy, I sent you a PM....
I found some interesting tid bits. What is an M122? A possible misprint in Motor Trend? At first I thought so. Then I come across.."but work with Eaton on supercharger geometry delivered more grunt..." Then I come across a picture of an what could be a new Eaton, appearing as it has more length than the M112.
So is an M122 what we'll be seeing on the market soon?
