Yes, I've known Matt for quite some time now. I've ridden in the truck several times and I shot the videos of it. I've even helped wrench on it a time or two.

That's a much talked about topic around the truck and it was just a personal choice of Matt's (as it should be). The AWD unit consumes quite a bit of power and he has some pretty big tires/rims on it that probably don't help much either. He's never meant for it to be a "race truck" and he still uses it to haul lumber, tow a boat, drive to work, etc.

When the hammer drops and the truck lurches sideways as all 4-wheels try to grab, it's pretty impressive. Especially when you see the late-model vettes just drop behind it.

The thing I like about the AWD is that it's there whenever I drop the hammer. No need to put it in 4wd and then forget to disengage it.

tt460 - Welcome to the site. Do you know if the truck has a higher stall converter in it? Those 60's are awesome. I couldn't imagine pulling up next to him and nailing it from a light only to see him jump out a couple truck lenghts right off the bat. I guess it would look similiar to what most people in their family sedans see when they try to take me off a light.

Yeah but the driveline loss isnt there all the time like and AWD. And you can still do burnouts Just seems like an odd choice to go awd from 4wd.

I'll correct this if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure he still has the stock converter. I think the only mods to the transmission were the Predator parts.

Nope, not yet. I've got both ECUs so we can take a look at them. I'm not sure if the other ECU will do any help since it's not the right one to be looking at. I did tear apart the old sensor to see if I could swap out the resistors and I think it's doable. Would probably be easier to swap 1 resistor in the ECU, but I'm not sure I'm sold on that idea yet.
