I have an autometer Cobalt electronic. It uses a 3 bar map sensor and has a dial guage. I don't car for the digital because you can't read it in your perifrial vision like you can analog. Analog I notice the position of the needle and digital I have to take all my concentration off other things and look at it. I have tried both and digital sucks. My cobalt seems to be very responsive and acurate. They run $150+ though.

Could I have too much 1/8" line and getting less accuarate readings? I would have to see how long it is but, it runs from the manifold, straight through the firewall and into the A pillar gauge pod. No different than 100 other people I'm sure.

Heres what happens. I used to get into low boost 1-2psi before the AFR woud drop into the 11's as desired. DC_Justin showed me how to adjust the % TPS to get into PE mode earlier
So now I actually lean up into the 11's just as I zero out the boost/vac gauge. My AFR never gets over 12.2 but the blower whines like it making boost but the gauge still sits on 0. If I give it a little more gas it creeps into boost as it should. I'm just wondering if I'm getting the most accurate readings since I'm using the old school needle gauge.

The 3 bar map is built in to the sensor or I have to swap to a 3 bar for it to work?

For mounting the gauge you can get a 2 pod dash mount and install it under your overhead console above the mirror, that is where I had a aeroforce and tranny temp on my tahoe.

The 3 bar map is totally seperate from the guage. Vacume hose to 3 bar map and wires only between the map and the gauge. I'm thinking I gave $170 or so for my Cobalt electronic boost gauge. It reads 30" vacumm to 30psi boost. It comes with the 3 bar map. I am actually using the 3 bar map that came with it to input into my computer with my SD tune and still using it for the gauge.

I love my Dakota Digital gauges. I needed a 4 gauge pillar. Couldn't find one so I made my own. In the night picture the blur is not there in person.

I run this , and I have an aeroforce. You are right, the aeroforce is limited by your MAP (a bad thing for a boost gauge unless you have more MAP than boost).
