Are you using the c5 or c6 one, or something different?

I have one for a camaro and had MTI include 2 1.5" spacers as tha water pump is different. It's a close fit but still needed some minor shimming.

MTI sells the Katech tensioner and a
New MTI Racing Belt Tensioner for Corvette
The Katech is noted the same as above...but the "MTI" one states being for
severe duty racing and supercharged applications

Cheezis ! Did it dent the hood or mess up anything? Thats carnage, and having the HD tensioner myself i dont like it!!!!!

The tensioners from MTI are all the same, it's the spacer that mounts to the head is what's different. For trucks you need 2 1.5" spacers where it mounts to the water pump plus the spacer they use for camaro. Like I said, I had to shim mine just a hair. It's a solid piece, I'd be more worried of the plastic pulley failing before the tensioner.
