I think the blower would look sweet as hell black like Blown 364s how did they make the radix that color? If I had a radix and hacked that part off I would go ahead and get it anodized, powdercoated or whatever was done to get the black finish it looks sweet IMO

Most all castings look like hell after anodizing, there used to be a process that worked pretty good for cast aluminum but the chemicals used have been banned in many states. If you can find someone who still does "BRIGHT" anodizing let me know. The powdercoating would look cool but may make it retain heat too.

You cannot powdercoat the blower after the manufacturing process.

So what was done to get the black finish on the old radix?

That was something Magnacharger did back in the day. It is an expensive process that was decided against due to cost.

So are the castings permanent mold or investment cast? Just curious, I used to be in the diecasting business.

Do the 350-400* temps of powdercoating warp the cases or something?

What's the diameter of the inlet pipe? What's the size of that block you speak of? It's really hard to tell from that pic.
