I read into that and it doesn't seem to difficult so while i have torn into it i will replace the wiring with somthing heavier. So far it seems like there is two methods, cut holes and use grommets and then use studs. It would seem to me that the studded way would seal better and be easier to install? Melted wires don't seem safe, how long were you guys running your stock wires before you noticed meltage?

5 bucks says when you swapped your fuel pressure reg from your stock rails to the Maggy fuel block, the little o-ring that seals the back of the reg stayed in your stock rails and didn't make the swap. That would explain ALL your problems,

(don't ask me how I know this, )

No i made a strong point to not forget the o-ring however when i pushed the regulator in, it hung up a little bit and may have damaged it. I picked up a new OE regulator from checker today for $47. It has been raining like a mother on and off all evening so in the morning i plan on installing it. I will be very pleased if this works and will prob know right away because of the starting issues but won't know for sure about running lean because i don't own a wideband. If it does work i can start throwing more power mods (and money) at it.

If I remember right, there is a bigger outer one and then a little tiny one that go's on the end of the reg, just make sure you have that little sucker in there,

Sorry guys I have been out of state without the computer but i put in the new regulator and what do you know? It starts right up. It ended up being the little oring was damaged like i thought. But now my main question is will this help my fuel pressure dropping to 30 psi under a load at 4000 rpm?
