Default daily driver turbo guys

what are you guys running and do you regret boosting your daily driver? iv got ahold of a trick 70mm kit but not sure i feel confident enough boosting my daily driver( iv been reading everything i can but dont know enough about it). plan is to keep it low boost anything over 400hp and id be completely happy with or should i go thru with my N/A build.(milled 243 heads and tsp220 cam)

Would rather have a boosted dd over a na setup anyday. 500 was my goal and I got there very easily.

Go with the Trick kit and limit it to 7-8lbs of boost, maybe 9-10 with Meth and you'll be fine. My DD LQ9 has been seeing 10lbs of boost for 5 years +, 45k miles and never a hicup. Pulled the engine last January and the compression is spot on, every cylinder. It's all in the tune.

Well other than my lawn mower every thing I have is boosted and love it, I have a 87 Grand National runs on pump gas a alky spray, Run in the 10's and you would never know it is a hot rod with the cold ac and the full power, Have a 04 SSR with a LS super charged engine 10 pounds of boost running pump gas and alky spray, Run 11.50 at 119 and gets 21 mpg for a 5,000 pound truck, I like alky spray because if you are not in it you are not boosted and the alky doesn't spray, Sure beats buying racing fuel and my GN runs faster on pump gas and alky spray that it does on racing fuel and I can run all night on a gallon,

Daily driven reliability can be retained if you don't go crazy looking for power. Keep it under 9-10psi on pump gas. After its installed and properly tuned keep your maintenance up and it should last the life of the truck. As with any power adder you are going to stress the weakest link. Keep a few extra grand in the bank should something happen. Enjoy
