Default D-1SC on an 06 Silverado

I just purchased a D1sc tuner kit with 3 core intercooler upgrade from T-byrne. Just looking for a little bit of feedback from you guys on what all needs to be done and what to expect. The truck is an 06 scsb with a 5.3. It will be all stock with an after cat exhaust. Here are my questions.
Where can I get injectors? I was told I need 44 pounders.
Do I need to get a fuel pump booster? I want to stay away from changing the intank for now. Heard it was a pain. Can't add an in-line cause it is return-less.
I'm getting it tuned by MTI in Houston, TX. Anyone have any experience with them? Anything specific I need to tell them about. They said I don't need to do any tranny mods (servo, shift-kit) as they said they could take care of that with the tune. Does this sound right? They also said to expect about 420 at the tires. I have heard that their dyno reads a little high.

What do ya'll think. Thanks ahead for the replies.

By the way I'm not new hear, I have just never posted before.

Wassup Man... I wish I would have went ahead and got the D-1SC and the 3-Core Intercooler. With my P-1sc and 2 Core Intercooler you can see my old number's, I should be about 450 rwhp now. They told me I didn't need no tranny mods (thats B.S.) you'll be lucky if your tranny last 2500 miles without any mods.

Here is a quick list of some mods that will bring that Procharger to life....
42lbs. Injectors
Long Tubes
True Dual Exaust
3000 Converter (you'll really like)
Trans-Go Shift kit & Servo's
And a custom tune will have a big smile on your face.

Did Tom at TByrne suggest a pulley (based on your power and boost expectations) for the 5.3L when he ships the kit? Damn, thats alot of blower for a 5.3L... there are C5 vette guys pushing well over 700rwhp with a P1SC... just gotta have the fuel and drivetrain for it...

You can get the shorty 42lb injectors through Xtreme Motorsports... 480-517-4969... ask for Darrell. Make sure you tell him what year truck you have.

Maybe a Kenne Bell Boost-A-Pump... not sure. I wouldn't sweat this one until your tuner tells you whether or not you run out of fuel during tuning as he should be monitoring (and datalogging) fuel pressure... but be prepared.

MTI has its fans and has had some problems in the past... my understanding is they have turned things around. I know Xtreme just recently picked up a sleeved LS2 427 shortblock from them and it runs flawlessly. You should have no problems getting a tune completed by them. If I lived near the Houston metro area I would go to them...

Tranny mods? Wait until your tune is complete and determine for yourself what / if anything you may need. I don't like suggesting tranny mods too much unless the tuner has experience with such mods... and knows what to expect when cracking open the laptop. If you were getting into the tranny then thats a different story. Maybe discuss with your tuner a 2600-2800 stall and an upgraded tranny cooler

Tom did not say anything about what pulley was being sent. I just assume that it is the 4.1. I talked to procharger and they said I might run into a problem as far as not getting the boost low enough since the motor is stock. We'll have to see. If I'm not mistaken that pulley should make in the neighborhood of 8-10 lbs. At what point do I need to start worrying about too much boost for pump gas. If the thing ends up making 12 lbs is that going to be detremental to my shortblock, provided I have a good tune.

your going to need at least a shift kit and servo and large tranny cooler if you want the '60 to last for any period of time. Long tube headers and a converter should be priorities as well if you want to get the most from the kit. I doubt you'll make too much boost with a 4.1, but you may want/need to upgrade the intank pump

Maybe go with a 4.25 or maybe even larger (4.5). Pulley's are MUCH cheaper than shortblocks One thing is for certain... you will have enough blower to grow into... as I'm sure you know this "hobby" is addicting and the stock shortblock will, sooner or later, just not be able to handle your "fix". It like heroin you know...
