Anybody else find it odd that after several years of GM incorporating the Eaton 1.9 and 2.3 blowers in their factory hot rods that the new COPO 5.3 Camaro offers a 2.9 or 4.0 blower? What happened to any blower bigger than 1.9 was overkill on an engine smaller than 6.0 liters?

 

And not to mention they are going whipple. I'm guessing its more of an efficiency on a stock based vehicle versus an all out production race car.

 

I just love the fact that its a 4.0x" bored 5.3L displacement engine

 

where did you find the info on the engine? i havent been able to find any
