As to the pump not spraying thought process, here is my verification to date after not seeing IAT drop as normal...

1. Took nozzle off, blew into variable controller.... watched spray
2. Took nozzle off, turned on truck, brake stalled into boost,....watched spray
3. While watching said spray during brae stall, saw led indicator on my pillar pod next to boost guage glow bright green indicating pump operation..
4. Verified level drop in meth container after each log of boosted run that had green indicator lit from 1 psi on out.

With all this said, I do not know what 625 ml at 150 psi actually looks like so I am unsure whether the spray observed under listed conditions is a true charge.... I do however believe it would be easy to take a shower in those boosted burst....

I am stumped. I expect to see IAT drops..... I also know if I turn off the pump, I would have to lose some timing and/or boost....

I did just the opposite. I just pulled my Vortech intercooler/aftercooler off and I'm using just the Snow Performance Stage II kit with dual 375 nozzels. AIT temps and EGT's are still happy and I picked up another lb of boost. I got rid of my w/m solution and just run straight water with no KR. I now launch at 3500 rpm with 37* timing. I'm still in the tuning stage's, but so far, I'm happy with the swap. Even though there was a cam swap included with the removal of the the intercooler/aftercooler, my track times has increased for the better.

One reason you may not be seeing the temp drop as before is you are starting at a lower temp before spraying, you no longer have the volume of heat in there as before for the water/meth to absorb forcing a huge temp swing.

I would leave it in place and just dial in for the knock seperation.

I've seen as much as a 40' drop in IAT with a 50-50 mix.

I am not interested in removing the aftercooler. I ran without it for two years with just meth. The timing pulls in mid load with the Vortech at 13 psi in Florida heat were too drastic. This truck is not built for the strip.... It is a daily driver.... There is too much timing loss before spray even though I crank the variable controller all the way down and start spray at 1 psi....

Don't get me wrong, the truck loves this stuff... it has been the magic bullet for two years.... I am just surprised that I do not see the dramatic drop in IAT...

I agree somewhat with Trick..... the tube is cooler now so I didn't expect to see quite as much drop.... but right now I am seeing zero drop..... and the WOT pull actually increases 30* or so with the meth spraying....

Dunno..... just curious to hear what others with inter/aftercoolers were seeing with IAT temps on a centrifugal.... I am quite sure I see benefit due to higher octane and increased timing, just surprises at the log showing little to no impact on IAT....

I'm not familiar with Vortech units, but looking at your pics, it appears the I/C is behind your radiator rather than in front of it?? In which case you are probably pulling hot air from the radiator through the I/C and possibly heating up your charge air?? Naaah, that can't be. I must be seeing it wrong.

You are correct.... you are seeing it wrong.......

The aftercooler I run is a W2A, not a FMIC. The radiator is located below the stock radiator where air flowing through the lower airdam flows through it unobstructed. The unit you are confusing for a "radiator" is the charge cannister that contains the cooling fins the water is run through that cools the air charge from the blower. A water pump pumps that water down to a holding tank and radiator located down low and in front of the truck....

The aftercooler works great..... Just the meth kit that is blowing my mind right now....

I have the Vortech with aftercooler on my 6.0. The last logs I did were 1 1/2 months ago. The outside temp was around 70*. My IAT was 106* before the run, and 90* at the end of the 1/4 mile.
I have been thinking about running meth, but I need to do more research on it.
Just wanted to share what I am seeing, FWIW.
Keep us informed on what you find out.

That is exactly what I expected to see once I installed the aftercooler.... I am trying to figure out what has changed...my parts for re-piping the CAI to the Vortech did not come in this week so it looks like next weekend before I get back to the truck... I really appreciate the post... this is exactly what I was looking for... it confirms my thought process....

Remember it was 70* outside. I'm curious to see what happens in this 80*+ weather.
