You could go with a Walbro 400 and be fine for 15+psi, but i agree, the stock pump even being a flex fuel truck probably wouldnt hang out very long even with low boost.

You're gonna love boost...

I like the Maggie. Think it can't be beat on the street. I don't worry about traction with AWD and I'm a lot heavier than you though. I also like tighter converters.

I'm very certain this little 1900 will get my crew cab into the 11's. And a 2300 set up correctly I think could push you into the 10's. Combine that with viscous power under your pedal and I can't think of a more fun street set up. You just need to ask yourself what you really want. I cruise right up to and past 100 so that's not really a concern. The procharger will offer more top end power of course. It will also like looser converters, bigger cams etc

at the current time, definitely low boost. but the nice thing is...I can always go more later!

I'll check that pump out, isn't the going choice usually the walbro 250?

I like the higher end benefits of the procharger, what got me into checking out chargers was the fact Im lacking that 85mph and up. both wil more then wake up the truck but Ill always be fighting a battle with traction! as the truck sits now I have traction issues off the line. Im willing to get street radials and caltracs in the future, but those would also benefit a procharger.

I did a little more research and it looks like with 11:1 compression (mines 10.9:1) I can safely run 8psi of boost, so for the current time I think 6-8psi would be perfect, it'd wake the truck up a fair bit, and when I want more...pull the engine, go forged and I can always upgrade the charger! if I went with a P1SC I could send it in to be turned into a D1SC, but if I went with a tvs 1900...other then pulley down wouldn't I be stuck there?

The most common pump upgrade is the 255, but it wont benefit you much over your stock flex fuel pump. Hence why i suggested to go with the 400, or even the 450. They arent much more expensive. Google the part numbers and you can find them on ebay.

walbro 450

that is pretty cheap! and for the effort to install it (hoist and a trans jack and air tools ) might as well!

so for 6-8PSI I would need a pump and injectors? I'm starting to kinda build my list and get a budget going, when I look at the P1SC kit or even the tvs 1900 kit, neither of them mention injectors or a pump required

Before I bought my Maggie I had decided on going Turbo (STS), Then the Morning I was going to make the call to order it I decided I want my Power "Right Now" and the STS wasn't gonna do it. So I decided on the Maggie. Sure other FI methods can make more power but I have been running 8 1/2 psi boost ( on stock LQ4 ) for almost 9yrs and have never had a problem. ( Other than snapping the tabs for a C clip in the tranny) Before I did boost I did every bolt on there was at the time, Headers, CAI, Elec Fans, Yada Yada. I wish id forced air in it first thing, It's a Friggin Ball. Now I can Never own a Vehicle without it. I have gone over 140mph, the truck had ALOT left, I Did Not . Which ever you decide, You will Love. Just get one with proven reliability or it can turn the fun into a Bad experience. You don't want that
