Default Compression ratio?
Stock 4.8 with a set of ls1 241 heads, what kind of compression am I looking at?

Yeh the 41's have a bigger chamber, intake valves then the 4.8 heads. Other then that they are the same.

61cc compared to 66.7cc combustion chamber is where the compression is lost. I've seen lots of guy install LS1 heads on 5.3's like its some magical power adder....and end up loosing a ton of power.

They do have bigger valves though. I had some 243's but didn't wanna use them on this build. It's a pretty big charger. 80mm inducer and a 86m exducer.

5.3/4.8 heads are good heads, after you have 2" intake valves installed.

The heads are fine the way they are LOL. Unless you are dead set on diff intake valves. Howmany people going in the 11-10's with stock heads? Quite a bit

Correct they are fine the way they are, the run a engine perfectly fine. Like anything else though there is lots of room for improvement.
