i had the same turbo on my 5.3 mustang, made decent power i was only on 10# and i had it on there for a few years, never had any problems and there is alot of people on tech running the gt45 ebay turbos

Actually, the BW I sold came with the 4" v-band, I'll ask my buddy who bought it if I can try it. If that fits im set lol.

Nice man! Did you have the one with the 80mm compressor or the 68mm compressor. I know a lot of guys run the 68mm on ls1tech bc it's only $260 lol.

Well, the kid that bought my BW didn't have time tonight to get me the V-band, I'll try again tomorrow. Oh btw, check out the last page on my build thread, I got pics of my GT45 with the 76mm compressor.

The oil feed. With my current setup I have just a journal bearing and -3an oil feed with no restrictor. I've always heard you are supposed to run an oil restrictor on a ball bearing turbo or it will get too much oil and push past the seals when it's not in boost. Did you not run a rectrictor?

Well, the 4" v-band is too big!!! So it must be a 3.75" v-band.

I would not run a restrictor with this turbo. I think its big enough that it wont need one but I guess we'll see. Did it say anything on the instructions about it?
