My last truck was a Procharged 07 NNBS Sierra Denali with no cats and it used to soot up the tailgate. I didn't want that with this truck. I'll sacrifice some HP on the street to keep the truck quieter and cleaner. I have a cut out in front of it which I'll open up next time at the track to see the difference.

Spun metal cats go toasty bye-bye after a short while. I've seen a few threads on here where they melted inside.

Cats + turbo = weird backpressure issues and the cats won't last. My corvette hasn't had cats for years with twins and no issues at all . Chunk the cats !

I'm going to try a single 4" diesel cat. Hopefully it will help cut down the smell.

Why is does it smell? Is there a fueling glitch?

Haven't done anything yet, just planning/buying parts for now. But I have driven catless vehicles, even when tuned to perfection, and they always smell. Less smell here in CA will reduce the suspicion of the local fuzz.
