Step 1: Throw the pcv system in the trash
Step 2: Mount can
Step 3: Run a line from each valve cover to the can

Tip: Just let the can vent to atmosphere and drain it often.

^This...

... and check your tune after removal...

Mounted my can down on the frame to keep any crank case fumes from entering cab... tapped off of an ebay oil fill cap...

So I dont need a LS6 intake? And its not bad for it to just run a line from catch can to each valve cover?

Someone told me without the pcv system your engine is on borrowed time. Acid will collect in the oil and cause the bearings to wipe out

I have an LS6 valley cover although I'm not sure how effective it really is. And FWIW, I vent off the passenger side only... although venting both sides, as mentioned above, is ideal.

Regarding "acid"... if you never get your oil to operating temps you run the risk of not evaporating any moisture / contaminants that has built up in the crank case. I've never had that problem... although I do live in Arizona I have over 40k turbo miles... running synthetic oil and changing it every 5k miles. Oil pressure has not changed over the years so I'm not too worried about bearings...

That's good to know. I was just going to do like what was stated above, run a hose from each valve cover to a catch can. But someone told me to get a LS6 valley cover and do it like that. If I can avoid paying $100 for a valley cover, Id rather do it another way.

That's pretty much what I had planned. So no vacuum lines going to the intake at all? Just cap everything off exept the valve covers?

Rx dual check valve catch can, breather on oil fill, driver side PVC line to can, then one of the check valved lines runs to the intake manifold and the other to the inlet pipe on the procharger. Only way to get crankcase vacuum under idle and under boost without a vacuum pump.

I can't understand where this fear of not venting back to the intake came from.

PCV systems cause more harm than good in my opinion.
