I live in NC, and the last time I had my truck inspected, all they do is plug the computer into the diag. port, and it reads all kinds of different things. I will see if I can find the paper that they gave me with it and scan and post it.

In NC the inspection stations are mostly all little gas stations and repair shops. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find one that is "performance friendly" As for the custom os tune, it doesn't look at any of that kind of stuff, its only looking for codes and failed emissions related test. Should be easy to get around.
