In Illinois, trucks over 8000 gvw don't go on the rollers, don't get plugged into, and nobody's hood gets raised.

 

So i should put a **** load of bricks in my bed? LoL

 

I live in NC, and the last time I had my truck inspected, all they do is plug the computer into the diag. port, and it reads all kinds of different things. I will see if I can find the paper that they gave me with it and scan and post it.

I wonder if there is some way i can a Test of my emissions done off the reccord first...

 

In NC the inspection stations are mostly all little gas stations and repair shops. I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to find one that is "performance friendly" As for the custom os tune, it doesn't look at any of that kind of stuff, its only looking for codes and failed emissions related test. Should be easy to get around.

 

Well i am going to visit my buddy up there in Feb so, i'll have check around.. Slip someone a George Washington for a quick off the reccord test of my truck... heh heh

 

It doesn't even know if you've deleted codes either. As long as they're set not to report an error or show the MIL, you're good to go.
