Default capable of 10's?

well after throwing a ton of money at my truck with heads, custom cam, converter, bolt ons, nitrous, blah blah blah my goal was to hit 10's in my truck. i had planned to spray all the way up to a 225 and got down to 7.30's on a 100rwhp shot so i think i could have got my 7.00 pass.

ive decided to get rid of everything off my truck and run a kbracing turbo kit with a mp76,342's,get my circle d 4c shrunk down to a 2 or 1c,run a 2 stage meth, arp studs, and about 16-20lbs at the track. will this much boost be capable of giving me my 10 second slip?

i do plan to blow the motor eventually to give me a reason for a forged 370 and a trans break

This is the victim. horrible pictures but i think you get the idea!

Sweet looking truck, I wish mine was black. I think you can hit 10's without much trouble at all with the KB/MPT76 kit on a 6.0L Rc, 2wd. I went 10.33 in shitty conditions with my 370CI 4x4, with a TC76 @14psi, base trick 2.5'' log header, and 3.5'' DP. A 2wd should be at least .3~.5 quicker, and have a big MPH advantage but traction along with a properly matched, balanced combo is key. Turbo size to Ci, cam, cyl head flow, intake runner volume, ring seal, converter, gear ratio all need to work together. Looks like you are already off to a pretty good start with the 6.0L, Kb/T76, and 3.42's. Keep the cam below 218@.050'', and the converter in the 28~3200K(under launch boost) range.

That's all I'm looking fir but I actually think these 5.3 motors are capable of going a bit faster maybe somewere around 10.5-10.7 in really good weather pushing the limit which is what I'm trying to do. I saw a truck on here that made 680 to the wheels on huge off road tires with 19psi and z06 cam!

yeah its doable. lots of boost, timing, meth, maybe some squeeze and really good traction!

Definately doable. Looks like you have plenty of track experience which is usually 1/2 of what it takes to dip into the 10s.
