Changed my wastegate reference to the turbo housing instead of the intake manifold and boost dropped from 13.5 to 9 in a couple of second gear pulls. I guess the early and extra pressure of the housing reference really helps push the gate open. Jus reporting back;-)

Interesting, I wouldn't have thought that would make a difference.

Leads me to believe you have a ton of pressure drop through your cold side

Have not tested since the upgraded intercooler was installed. I was seeing a 7 psi drop across the intercooler with the smaller ebay intercooler. The new one is a better built piece and bigger. but no test on that one yet.

Put the smoker on it. If theres a leak you will find it.

I don't think the way it acting points to a leak. Somewhat restrictive cold side.. yes

I had to do the same thing when I put the 7675 on. Not sure why it helps but it did drop mine down about 3-4psi.

It's a higher psi measurement per cooler then post.

Correct me if I am wrong but this still points to an undersized wastegate, right? The higher reference at the turbine outlet is just 'tricking' the gate into opening farther and is compensated by the cold side pressure drop to maintain the desired manifold pressure. Although there was a 4.5psi drop in second, I am curious to see if boost still creeps up in third.

Where are you reading your boost values from, intake or off the turbo?
