While pulling you don't want to be in boost all the time. So the big turbo is needed.
But when going into boost run a 46-66 mm gate should be fine.
Our 6.2 customer uses a 46mm gate pulls a trailer and race car. Stays in vacuum most of the time. And has no problem with over boosting.
Just make sure your tuner knows your pulling with the truck.

with my goofy setup and cutout closed mine stays at 5psi all the time no matter what.
ive towed for years at 5psi.. just gotta make sure the tune is good.
another reason i like a turbo, pick your boost with a switch instead of a pulley.
ive gotta redo my wastegate and see how it works from there.

ive towed in the hills around here and its sat at 5psi for atleast a minute or two. never had a temp problem.
