While pulling you don't want to be in boost all the time. So the big turbo is needed.
But when going into boost run a 46-66 mm gate should be fine.

Our 6.2 customer uses a 46mm gate pulls a trailer and race car. Stays in vacuum most of the time. And has no problem with over boosting.
Just make sure your tuner knows your pulling with the truck.

Its true. I just bought some 5psi springs for my new setup to keep it tow-friendly. I wouldn't want more than 5psi for any extended amount of time without a bigger radiator.

with my goofy setup and cutout closed mine stays at 5psi all the time no matter what.

ive towed for years at 5psi.. just gotta make sure the tune is good.
another reason i like a turbo, pick your boost with a switch instead of a pulley.

ive gotta redo my wastegate and see how it works from there.

I'm comparing to someone who doesn't know otherwise and decides to tow in their gas vehicle at full boost of like 12 or 15psi. We have some big hills around here that could spell disaster in that scenario. But truth be told, the radiator and cooling system as a whole in these trucks were never designed to dump all the extra heat that they can generate while they're making close to 1000hp at the crank. Just good to keep that in mind when using them for all-purpose vehicles
