Default Can I peice together my own STS turbo setup? rear mount

I was highly wanting to do a remote mount setup, to free space under the bay, and I just love how they sound when the turbo spools up under the truck. What all is involved into getting the correct size turbo, piping etc. To make my own rear mount turbo setup?

SO can I peice this together with my own parts, to make more power or the equivalent?

Yes, they do.

Im in the research stage of piecing this thing together, Custom CAI everything, with piping, correct spec turbo, lines etc. I think I may come off better, being able to use stock manifolds and all. Also the tons of space on my 2wd under-body.

I'll sell you my STS kit for 1300.00 plus shipping. It has a t67 turbo, and no I/C. You will need to fab the pipe that enters and exits the turbo. I will get the turbo rebuilt before I ship it to you.

Yes, you can use your stock exhaust/Y pipe.

You need a custom Tune, larger fuel pump and at least 42 # inj.

Also need a boost gauge, a wide band should be bought also to watch A/F ratio.

I would get a good hydraulic oil return hose made and either tap the oil pan or valve cover for the oil return..

Also get a Blowoff valve.

FMIC should be required too, they feel so much stronger/effiecent with one.

Then you'll need to address your trans to hold the extra power.

Then have fun!!

You use the stock manifolds and y-pipe. Larger injectors and upgraded fuel pump. Better valve springs are needed too, to prevent valve float. Sleeper pmed me. If he decides not to get the kit. I will post it up for sale in the near future.
